Why vitamin C is the most important brightening active — and why concentration and stability matter
Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) reduces hyperpigmentation by inhibiting tyrosinase, the enzyme that catalyses melanin synthesis in melanocytes. AM use after toner — before moisturiser
